Welcome! My name is Shawn and I'm dedicating this blog to my transformation from city boy to country boy.
With the current green movement and the growing popularity of going "back to the basics", the decityfication of America is an overwhelming trend, but moving to the country has been a dream of mine since as far back as I can remember.
I'm currently 37 years old living in northeastern Alabama with my wife, our daughter, and two daughters from a previous marriage. I call the Chicagoland region my home, but am only a few generations away from a strong heritage of farmers and country bumpkins.
